Are you tired of meandering through the grocery store, squinting against the florescent lighting only to examine under-ripe and out of season fruits and vegetables that have traveled thousands of miles and used up countless amounts of resources just to leave a bad taste in your mouth? Well we were too, and that is why we started the food coop.

For only $20 members get a box stuffed to the brim with seasonal organic fruits and vegetables grown within a 150 mile radius of San Francisco. By ordering through Veritable Vegetable we are given the opportunity to pick and choose what produce we want all the while knowing where and what farm our food is coming from. We also incorporate dumpstered goods (like bread and cliff bars) whenever possible, and we hope to expand the coop to include bulk goods and food we grow ourselves.

Already members have offered up home brew beer, freshly roasted coffee and lovely recipes to help put all those fruits and veggies to good use.The more people in the coop the more diverse the boxes can be; so say good riddance to bad produce. All you have to do is let the coop know how many boxes you want and then pick them up at the next meeting!
